Logan University recently hosted its eighth annual Anatomy Centered Education & Science (A.C.E.S.) Workshop for local high school students and incoming college freshmen. Taught in small groups by physicians and professionals from various medical specialties, the week-long program allows students to learn more about physical anatomy, body systems, health, wellness and prevention, while gaining hands-on experience in dissection, radiology and more. The ACES program was created in 2017 by Dana Underkofler-Mercer, DC (’98), MS (’10), Logan’s director of strategic partnership and professor in the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program. Logan University hosted its seventh annual Anatomy Centered Education & Science (ACES) workshop for local high school students last week. The week-long program features hands-on activities allowing high school students to explore careers in health care, anatomy, sports science and more. Logan hosted its sixth annual Anatomy Centered Education & Science (ACES) workshop this month, which gives high school students a chance to explore careers in health care. The week-long summer program features hands-on procedures and is a great way for students who are interested in getting into health care determine what career path they want to pursue within the field. Logan Hosts Fifth Annual ACES Workshop

Earlier this summer, Logan hosted its fifth – and largest – Anatomy Centered Education & Science (ACES) workshop for local high school students. The program, held Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., immersed 60 students in the field of health sciences. Ignite a passion for science and natural medicine. The Anatomy Centered Education & Science (A.C.E.S.) Workshop invites area high school students and future college freshmen to experience learning at Logan University while exploring careers in health care. The one-week program is taught in small groups by physicians and professionals from various medical specialties. Students will study physical anatomy, body systems, health, wellness and prevention and gain hands-on experience in cadaver dissection, radiology and more. Last week, Logan University hosted its fourth annual A.C.E.S. (Anatomy Centered Education and Science) Workshop for area high school students, organized by Dana Underkofler, DC, MS, professor and director of strategic partnerships for the College of Chiropractic. “The A.C.E.S. Workshop saw such great success this year,” Dr. Underkofler said. “This program came at the perfect time for these students. Their school years were cut short, and many of their summer activities were cancelled.
